Parts Runner – part time

Job Summary:

 

The purpose of this position is to make runs to jobsites & supply houses to ensure that technicians and installers can safely receive the parts and equipment necessary for their jobs.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

· Put away parts

· Restock kits

· Relabel equipment

· Take out trash and recycling

· Move Equipment using a pallet jack or hand truck.

· Take out trash at end of the day or when full.

· Run magnet in parking lot daily

· Sweep floor in shop and in cage area

· Do runs for sheet metal and parts

· Put back extra supplies from installers

· All other duties assigned

Qualifications:

-Current driver’s license and maintain insurability by Vredevoogd carrier

-Ability to pass initial and random drug screenings

-Ability to pass national background check

-Strong oral and reading skills

-Capability to work in Michigan environmental conditions

-Strong commitment to world class customer service

-Strong multi-tasking skills; phone, computer, and people skills

-Build and encourage a positive work culture and be a willing and engaged team player

-High school diploma or GED

-Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb in and out of box trucks

-Ability to be flexible and effectively handle change

-Ability to utilize technology for invoicing and internal/external communication

-Ability to work necessary hours to meet specific organizational requirements
